### 1. Quran Verses Supporting These Hadiths

"Presentism"

**According to Islam, the Quran is the eternal book and Muhammad is the perfect example for all humanity for eternity Quran 33:21.You bring them into the present, but we can't judge them by the present?**

#### Three-month remarriage waiting period for divorced girls who had sex before their first period

> **Quran 33:49:** "O believers! If you marry believing
> women and then divorce them **before you touch them, they will have no waiting period** for you to
> count."

> **Quran 65:4:** "As for your women past the age of
> menstruation, in case you do not know, **their waiting period is three months, and those who have not menstruated as well**."

Scholarly Explanation (Quran.com)

> "The **same for the young, who have not reached the years of menstruation**. Their `Iddah is
> three
> months like those in menopause."
> [Tafsir Ibn Kathir on Quran 65:4](https://quran.com/65:4/tafsirs/en-tafisr-ibn-kathir)

> "The same is the "iddah of young women who have not yet started menstruating **on account of being under age**."
> [Ma'arif Al-Qur'an on Quran 65:4](https://quran.com/65:4/tafsirs/en-tafsir-maarif-ul-quran)

**Iddah** = waiting period before remarriage after consummation

#### Quran allows sex with captive women who are married but in your possession

> **Quran 4:24:** "Also ˹forbidden are˺ married
> women - **except ˹female˺ captives in your possession.**"

> **Quran 23:5-6:** "**those who guard their chastity except with their wives or those ˹bondwomen˺ in their possession**, for then they are free from
> blame"

> **Quran 70:29-30:** "**those who guard their chastity except with their wives or those ˹bondwomen˺ in their possession,** for then they are free from
> blame"

Context (Authentic Hadith)

> Chapter: **It is permissible to have intercourse with a female captive after it is established that she is not pregnant, and if she has a husband, then her marriage is annulled when she is captured.**
> "Abu Sa'id al-Khudri (Allah be pleased with him) reported that at the Battle of Hanain Allah's
> Messenger (ﷺ) sent an army to Autas and encountered the enemy and fought with them. Having
> overcome them and taken them captives, the Companions of Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him)
> seemed to **refrain from having intercourse with captive women because of their husbands being polytheists.** **Then Allah, Most High, sent down** regarding that: 'And women already
> married, **except those whom your right hands possess (iv. 24)**' (i.e. they were **lawful for them** when their 'Idda period came to an end)."
> [Sahih Muslim 1456](https://sunnah.com/muslim:1456)

Prophetic Example

> "It was narrated from Anas, that **the Messenger of Allah had a female slave with whom he had intercourse**, but 'Aishah and Hafsah would not leave him alone until he said that she was
> forbidden for him. Then **Allah**, the Mighty and Sublime, **revealed: 'O Prophet! Why do you forbid (for yourself) that which Allah has allowed to you.'** until the end of the
> Verse."
> [Sunan an-Nasa'i 3959](https://sunnah.com/nasai:3959)

Scholarly Explanation (Quran.com)

> "The Ayah means, you are **prohibited from marrying women who are already married, except those whom you acquire through war**, for you are allowed such women after making sure they are not pregnant."
> [Tafsir Ibn Kathir on Quran 4:24](https://quran.com/4:24/tafsirs/en-tafisr-ibn-kathir)

Beat Your Wives

> "So, the righteous women are obedient, (and) guard (the property and honor of their husbands) in
> (their) absence with the protection given by Allah. **As for women of whom you fear rebellion**,
> convince them, and leave them apart in beds, **and beat them.**"
> [Quran 4:34](https://quran.com/4/34?translations=84)

Context (Authentic Hadiths)

Prophetic Example

> "**O 'Aisha**, that you are out of breath? I said: There is nothing. He said: Tell me or the Subtle
> and the Aware would inform me. I said: Messenger of Allah, may my father and mother be ransom
> for you, and then I told him (the whole story). He said: Was it the darkness (of your shadow)
> that I saw in front of me? I said: Yes. **He struck me on the chest which caused me pain**,
> and then said: Did you think that Allah and His Apostle would deal unjustly with you?"
> [Sahih Muslim, Book 4, Hadith 2127](https://hadithcollection.com/sahihmuslim/sahih-muslim-book-04-prayer/sahih-muslim-book-004-hadith-number-2127)

Muslim Women's Suffering

> "`Aisha said that the lady (came), wearing a green veil (and complained to her (Aisha) of **her husband and showed her a green spot on her skin caused by beating**). It was the habit of ladies to support each other, so when Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) came, `Aisha said, "**I have not seen any woman suffering as much as the believing women.** **Look! Her skin is greener than her clothes!**""
> [Sahih Bukhari 5825](https://sunnah.com/bukhari:5825)

Scholarly Explanation (Quran.com)

> "**(beat them) means**, if advice and ignoring her in the bed do not produce the desired
> results, **you are allowed to discipline the wife**, without severe beating.... (**If the man asks his wife to come to his bed and she declines, the angels will keep cursing her until the morning.**)"
> [Tafsir Ibn Kathir on Quran 4:34](https://quran.com/4:34/tafsirs/en-tafisr-ibn-kathir) [Sahih Bukhari 3237](https://sunnah.com/bukhari:3237)

Disbelievers Are Not Your Friends and Are the Worst of Creatures

> "O ye who believe! **Take not the Jews and the Christians for friends. They are friends one to another. He among you who taketh them for friends is (one) of them.**"
> [Quran 5:51](https://quran.com/5/51?translations=19)

> "Indeed, they who disbelieved among the People of the Scripture and the polytheists will be in the
> fire of Hell, abiding eternally therein. **Those are the worst of creatures.**"
> [Quran 98:6](https://quran.com/98/6?translations=20)

Scholarly Explanation (Quran.com)

> "**Allah forbids His believing servants from having Jews and Christians as friends**,
> because **they are the enemies of Islam and its people, may Allah curse them.** Allah then
> states that they are friends of each other and He gives a warning threat to those who do
> this, (**O you who believe! Take not the Jews and the Christians as friends...**) Then he
> reported that `Abdullah bin `Utbah said, 'Let one of you **beware** that he **might be a Jew or a Christian, while unaware**.'"
> [Tafsir Ibn Kathir on Quran 5:51](https://quran.com/5:51/tafsirs/en-tafisr-ibn-kathir)

> "**(They are the worst of creatures.) meaning, they are the worst creation that Allah has fashioned and created.** Then Allah informs about the situation of the righteous people
> who believed in their hearts and performed righteous deeds with their bodies. He says that
> they are the best of creation."
> [Tafsir Ibn Kathir on Quran 98:6](https://quran.com/98:6/tafsirs/en-tafisr-ibn-kathir)

Fight Until They Pay the Jizya While Humbled

> "And when the inviolable months have passed, **then kill the polytheists wherever you find them** and capture them and besiege them and sit in wait for them at every place of ambush.
> But if they should repent, establish prayer, and give zakāh, let them [go] on their way. Indeed,
> Allāh is Forgiving and Merciful."
> [Quran 9:5](https://quran.com/9/5?translations=20)

> "**Fight against those who do not believe in Allāh or in the Last Day** and who do not consider
> unlawful what Allāh and His Messenger have made unlawful and who do not adopt the religion of truth
> [i.e., Islām] from those who were given the Scripture - **[fight] until they give the jizyah willingly while they are humbled.**"
> [Quran 9:29](https://quran.com/9/29?translations=20)

Context (Authentic Hadith)

> **Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) said: "I have been ordered (by Allah) to fight against the people until they testify that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah and that Muhammad is Allah's Messenger (ﷺ)**, and offer the prayers perfectly and give the obligatory charity, so **if they perform that, then they save their lives and property from me** except for Islamic laws and then their reckoning (accounts) will be done by Allah."
> [Sahih Bukhari 25](https://sunnah.com/bukhari:25)

> "If they refuse to accept Islam, **demand from them the Jizya**. If they agree to pay, accept it from them and hold off your hands. If they refuse to pay the tax, **seek Allah's help and fight them**."
> [Sahih Muslim 1731](https://sunnah.com/muslim:1731a)

Scholarly Explanation (Quran.com)

> "Allah said, (until they pay the Jizyah), if they do not choose to embrace Islam, (with
> willing submission), **in defeat and subservience**, (and feel themselves subdued.),
> **disgraced, humiliated and belittled.** Therefore, **Muslims are not allowed to honor the people of Dhimmah or elevate them above Muslims**, for they are miserable, disgraced
> and humiliated. Muslim recorded from Abu Hurayrah that the Prophet said,
> (**Do not initiate the Salam to the Jews and Christians, and if you meet any of them in a road, force them to its narrowest alley.**)"
> [Tafsir Ibn Kathir on Quran 9:29](https://quran.com/9:29/tafsirs/en-tafisr-ibn-kathir) [Sahih Muslim 2167a](https://sunnah.com/muslim:2167a)

Fighting Is Obligatory For You Even If You Dislike It

> "**Fighting has been made obligatory upon you ˹believers˺, though you dislike it.** Perhaps you
> dislike something which is good for you and like something which is bad for you. **Allah knows and you do not know.**"
> [Quran 2:216](https://quran.com/al-baqarah/216?translations=131)

Scholarly Explanation (Quran.com)

> "In this Ayah, **Allah made it obligatory for the Muslims to fight in Jihad** against the
> evil of the enemy who transgress against Islam. Az-Zuhri said, **"Jihad is required from every person"**, whether he actually joins the fighting or remains behind... (and it may be
> that you dislike a thing which is good for you) meaning, **fighting is followed by victory, dominance over the enemy, taking over their lands, money and offspring.**"
> [Tafsir Ibn Kathir on Quran 2:216](https://quran.com/2:216/tafsirs/en-tafisr-ibn-kathir)
